Giving Back to the Community During the Holidays

In October, One Fat Frog Commercial Kitchen Equipment aided the Central Florida Crisis Intervention Team for their 1st Annual CIT Motorcycle Card Run which helped raise money for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (www.nami.org) and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. For the 2011 holiday season, One Fat Frog Restaurant Equipment and the Crisis Intervention Team are continuing to give back to the those in need with a Christmas lunch and clothing/toiletries giveaway. for our friends at the Orlando Pathways Drop-In Center on Saturday, December 10, 2011.

Located on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, Pathways Drop-In Center is a voluntary, completely self-policed shelter for mentally-ill homeless people. To help with the Christmas lunch and gift giveaway, the Crisis Intervention Team will be accepting donations of water, soda, instant coffee, and other foodstuffs for the lunch. Clothing and toiletries are also being collected, including jackets, socks, gloves, underwear, clothes (preferably larger sizes), blankets, toilet paper, and other toiletries.

For information on item pick-ups and other information on how you can participate, call Lt. Deanne Adams at (407) 448-8301. This is what the holiday season is all about!
