Four Appliances for Cooking Most Anything in Your Kitchen

We at One Fat Frog are always on the look-out for the best used equipment for any restaurant operation. We have a variety of equipment used for the specific purpose of just cooking the food. Here is a list of the most common cooking appliances and how they can be used.

-Range/oven: if it can be cooked in a frying pan or a pot, then it’ll find itself on a range. The more cooking you do on a range, the more burners you may need. A typical range has six burners, plus the oven beneath, but we at One Fat Frog have seen ranges as large as eight or ten burners and even with double ovens.

-Fryer: the means of dipping various foods in boiling oil is the staple of foods most often cooked for sporting events. Most restaurants can get by with fryers, but they shouldn’t be your only means of cooking as the oil loses heat with each time it is used.

-Flat Griddle: also called a flat top, it can be used as a grill for burgers and other foods. In fact, the art of hibachi is done entirely on flat griddles. Because they are so versatile, a large flat griddle, as big as 48 inches, is almost the only thing you need.

-Convection Oven: these are used for a variety of cooking and have become a great asset to bakeries. These work by using fans inside the chamber to move the heat around. This leads to faster and more thorough cooking, so convection ovens don’t take as long as conventional ovens.

The great thing about this list is that we have several of all of these available now. This allows you to find the best product for your restaurant and what is necessary for you to get the job done. Plus there’s the financing options, 30 day parts and labor warranty, and free delivery to most of Florida, gas conversion, custom paint jobs, and custom cutting boards.
